8-10 page saddle stitched books of monotypes in 3 sizes
These books began as an exploration of narrative possibilities of abstract monotypes and non-objective mark making. Keeping to a mostly monochromatic palate, the artist focused on suggestions of gesture, both in individual prints and in sequencing them. Excited by the added element of juxtaposition in book form, the artist looked for patterns, echoes, points of contact and contrast, and surprises—all to create/discover a visual conversation. The result: A vocabulary of visual interactions.
